OUR FOUNDATION

We’ve been conditioned to operate outside

of ourselves and buy into a construct that isn’t designed for us ALL to thrive.

These four pillars call us back home to the foundations of our well-being.

Health & Well-Being

(mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual)

Your well-being is not a luxury, it’s your birthright!

Making time to create for your whole-self is unfortunately something that we aren't automatically taught. For many of us, it’s a learned behavior that grows into a practice.

Your health and well-being aren’t just about a healthy body; it's about expanding our concept of self, learning to enjoy our lives, and making the choices that reflect our commitment to show for ourselves in multiple ways.

Food Sovereignty & Security

Food Sovereignty & Security

There is no question about the fact that we cannot be well if we cannot feed and nourish our bodies.

Food sovereignty is more than making sure someone can eat; it is “the right of peoples to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and their right to define their own food and agriculture system.” (– Declaration of Nyéléni, the first global forum on food sovereignty, Mali, 2007).

Whether you're learning how to grow food or assisting in its distribution, food sovereignty reconnects us to the land, our community, and a nourished body.

ART & BUILDING

ART

Art is an integral part of our well-being.

Whether you are creating, experiencing, or expressing, art tends to have lasting effects on our mental and emotional health.

The benefits of art on our whole being are vast, including the reduction of stress and calming the nervous system.

Art serves as a vehicle for self-discovery and confidence, strengthening our inner voice on our terms.

BUILDING SKILLS

Equipping our community with the means to build and repair goes beyond the end product. Learning and using building skills fosters confidence.

These activities create opportunities for collaboration and social inclusion. When communities take part in what is being built, they become more engaged with its care. This leads to more sustained and resilient communities.

REST

REST

Rest is so much more than lying your body down to sleep.

The 7 different kinds of rest ( physical, mental, emotional, sensory, creative, social, and spiritual) play a vital role in our health and well-being.

Knowing what kind of rest you may need and how to offer it to yourself unapologetically helps us restore ourselves to wholeness.
